Cuett (the “Service”) is operated by the Cuett Operations Team ("we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains how user information is handled in connection with the Service.
1. Basic Policy
The Service is designed with a clear principle:
To reliably convey the fact of a mutual match once it is established.
In line with this principle, we collect and use only the minimum amount of information necessary.
The Service does NOT:
- Provide user search functionality
- Provide recommendation features
- Display information about others unilaterally
- Reveal information about a person before a match is established
- Collect or analyze SNS content data
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Authentication Information
The Service uses external authentication providers such as Google ID and Apple ID.
We collect only the following information:
- Email address
- Unique identifier provided by the authentication provider
- Internal user ID within the Service
We do not store passwords.
2.2 SNS Authentication Information (OAuth)
The Service uses OAuth authentication solely for the purpose of verifying ownership of external SNS accounts.
We collect only the minimum necessary information:
- SNS user ID
- Account identifier (e.g., username)
- Authentication tokens (stored only as necessary and for a limited period)
We do NOT collect:
- Posts or content
- Follower information
- Direct messages
- Timeline data
- Contact information
SNS authentication is used exclusively for identity verification and ID matching purposes.
2.3 Information Entered by Users
Users manually enter the SNS ID of a person they are interested in.
Specifically, we collect and store the following information:
- The name used to identify the person
- The target SNS ID
- Optional custom messages for each match intention, available only to premium plan users
- The subject and body of customer support inquiries
This information:
- Is used solely for match verification
- Is not made public to other users
- Does not allow users to confirm the existence of the other party before a match is established
Customer support inquiry subjects and messages are used only for support operations and are stored in encrypted form on the server.
Users may optionally register an image for identification purposes.
Such images are stored only on the user’s device and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
The Cuett Operations Team does not access or view these images.
2.4 Automatically Collected Information
For stable operation and fraud prevention, we may collect:
- Device information
- Access information
- IP address
- Error logs
- Push notification device tokens
- Installation-level identifiers
- Auxiliary device identifiers used for notification delivery and support investigation
2.5 Payment-Related Information
When providing paid features, we obtain and manage:
- Subscription status
- Purchase history
- Store receipt information
This information is used solely for payment management and access control to paid features.
3. Purpose of Use
We use collected information only for the following purposes:
- Determining match establishment
- Preventing impersonation
- Delivering notifications and managing notification settings on a per-device basis
- Responding to customer support inquiries
- Providing and managing paid features
- Detecting and preventing misuse
- Investigating incidents and maintaining stable operation
- Improving the Service through statistical analysis (in a non-identifiable form)
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell user information to third parties.
However, we may share limited information in the following cases:
4.1 Service Providers
We may share information with service providers necessary for operating the Service, including:
- Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare, Inc.)
- Payment processing providers
- Notification delivery providers
- Analytics service providers
- Subscription management providers
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, or when requested by courts, law enforcement, or other public authorities through lawful procedures.
5. Third-Party Services
To ensure stable operation, improve service quality, and manage paid features, we use third-party services.
As a result, user identifiers, device information, usage data, error logs, IP addresses, and payment-related information may be transmitted to these providers.

6. Data Retention
- Account information, interest-related input, and customer support data: retained until account deletion
- Notification tokens and installation identifiers: retained until account deletion, notification disablement, or deletion after a period of inactivity
- Match-related data: retained until deletion or resolution
- Log data: retained for a reasonable period and then deleted
When an account deletion request is accepted, primary account-related data is deleted asynchronously in sequence. Full deletion may take some time to be reflected.
Minimum audit records required for security or operational purposes may be retained where legally permitted or operationally necessary.
7. User Rights
Users may request:
- Access to their personal information
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of their account and related information
Requests can be made through the settings screen within the Service or via the contact page.
Additional rights may apply under applicable laws.
8. Security Measures
We implement appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration of user information.
9. Children
The Service is not available to individuals under the age of 13.
If we become aware that a user under 13 has registered, we may delete the account and related information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will be notified within the Service or on the website.
